New handicap rule for Baltic Classic Circuit

The St Peterburg Classic Regatta has been postponed to 2011 because of financing difficulties. Yachts wishing to participate in the Master Cup have to take part in three of the four regattas to qualify. Yachts planning to participate in the Master Cup should announce their intention to SCYT not later than June 10. The organizing committee for the four regattas met in Stockholm May 8th, and agreed to test a new handicap rule for classic yachts parallell to SRS, FinnLYS and ORC Club. The rule is based in the Mediterranean CIM rule and has been developed by SCYT. More information about the races and the rule will be posted here shortly.

Trosa Regatta Logotype

The Trosa Tullgarn Royal Palace Regatta is part of a week-long sailing festival called "Trosa Seglar Vackert" in Swedish. It does not translate well :"Trosa Sails Beautifully." The expression "Segla Vackert," is the catch phrase of the Swedish Mälarboat Association. What we want to say  is "Come sail a classic yacht. It is the only beautiful boat."
The logoitype has been created by Berndt Ehn, a retired grapic designer who used to work for Carlsson & Broman, the agency that created the Absolut Vodka bottle and brand.
